It's really a hard time for me to adjust myself to the new job.

First, our working enviornment is pretty quiet. Because there are many engineers, any voice that will disturb focusing on work is prohibited. The office all day is so quiet that when I sit at my desk I feel like studying in a library. I miss the days that I could laugh and talk freely with colleagues at SITCA. Second, I have to spend much more time on my way to work. It only took 8 minutes walk to my office before. Now I have to take bus, then transfer by MRT, and walk 10 minutes to office.  Hah~sounds like I am complaining about the new enviornment...... I know "You win a few, you lose a few. " I just need some time to accept the changes.

Thank you for caring about my situation. Although facing many new things at the first week, I am fine and becoming better and better.

Question: If you have a chance to be others (creations or things whatever) that you like in the world, what will you choose to be? You can list three in the order (from the first to third) and write down the reasons. What are your answers?

My answers are:

1.           Dog: because it is cute (especially wagging tails) and loyal.

2.         Dolphin: because it is smart and gentle .

Driving is really interesting. My couch is kind and patient. Besides, my classmate Hsiao is also very helpful. With their help, everything is so far so good. (By the way, I decrease my 熄火times. it is really a good news! Hah~Hah~)

I remembered one of my junior high school history teacher she suggested  that we girls to learn driving. She thought that driving can broaden our living area and I agreed with her opinion. Now I am really excited about to drive on the road and explore more places in Taiwan.

Before that, I need to pass the exam first.

Teacher Jian found that I always judge myself because I think I should do better. He asked me "你是明天就要成仙成佛嗎? "Hah~The answer of course is not, so I really don't ask myself to be complete perfect. He always challenged me with new ideas that help me to lead my life in a practical and easier way. I expect myslef to be more patient, more matured, he said it takes time to make it true naturally. "First of all, being satisfied with yourself . After that, do what you think you can improve step by step. Then, you will naturally go on the right way ."

I am excited about the coming summer vacation. May told me she listed her plans from A to Z. I think it is a good idea to do the list and I try to write down something I want to do:

A: worship God with saints. (6/22 with teacher Lai, 6/21,26 with Sandra, 7/3,7/6,7/10, Nancy,6/27,7/4 English Bible study at Studio classroom )
B: learn to play guitar. (borrowed guitar from Frank, 7/12 first class)
C: get a driving license. (6/24 applied,6/27 first drive, forward, backword, S, parking, 直線加速, 上坡起步)

I don't like to be considered I am diligent, especially the final result is not good. In my life, this kind of events happened several years ago. I practiced  volleyball hard but I was the people who lost scores in formal game.I attended class and took notes but I got a worst score than classmates who didn't show in class but borrowed my notebook a week before exam. In those situations, my heart had unwillingness and I felt embarrased when people expected I should perform better. That's why I always remineded myself not to be considered "diligent."

Monday, this uncomfortable feeling happend again when we performed a drama in writing class. Sandy and I really felt upset since we spent a lot of time on it but in our teacher's eyes we were not pretty good. All the bad memories provoke by this event, made me uncontrolly cry after coming home. I even regreted all the efforts I made on this project until my mom said "Being diligent is your style!"

"
As you sow, so shall you reap.""God helps those who help themselves." Even thought you sowed hard, there also might be some accidents. What I need is a stronger mind to accept failures and keep going on. That is my style!

Today I realized the differences between self-esteem and sensitive to reputation.

People who have self-esteem, they agree with who they are, even they are denied or criticized. On the contrary, people who are sensitive to reputation judge themselves by social values. They search for good reputaion or something else that are regarded as good in our society. However, those might not what they really want.

Dr Jiang said, "See the nature of yourself, do what you like to do, be what you want to be."

  • "21"

Recently there was a movie named “21.”(決戰21) It is a true story about an MIT student earn tuition by gambling. If you are curious about the whole story, you can take a look at the introduction from wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/21_%282008_film%29

Actually, I still didn't completely understand most of the math principles they talked about or used in this movie. However, the movie reminded me some important principles in life. It is obvious that the desire of human beings can easily become infinite. To aviod being greedy,  we need to keep the first pure motivation in mind.

「What innovations would you like to see in the future?」

Last Friday, Jonathan asked us this question in class. At that time, Jessica answered "the door of Doreamon", (Most of us all wanted it  but Jonathan said that considering about the security system it is infeasible. ) Samantha said "VirtualReality sport machine"  which has better functions than "Wii" that it can make you feel you are really surfing in the ocean; it won't make you feel tired after mountain climbing. Areil wanted "Magic drug" that can magically make people eat more but lose more weight. Rebecca also imagined a machine that can make you do exercising during sleep. Hah~ you can see we girls are always lazy but good day dreamers

To me, I want to see "univeral translator machine." Although there is a universal language "English" today, not all people can speak it fluently. I want to see people all over the world communicating with each other without language barriers.

During  these days, I found there are at least three adavantages of wearing a mask.  First, it can protect myself and people around me from being infected by flu virus .  Second, I don't have to apply suntan lotion when going outside. Third, when waiting buses on the streets, it make me breathe with cleaner air and that made feel I could live longer. Further more, it can be used as eye patck when taking a nap.

I found those advangtages by my personal using experience since I caught a cold for a long time these days. Now I have 5 different masks , Gradually, I am used to wearing a mask, I even think I might be a little addicted to it.

As the corruption of the President Chen governmenthas shamed people in Taiwan, I almost forget the enthusiasm of being people here these years.   Today Taiwan's new leader President Ma takes office. In his inauguration, when he said “我們引以為傲的美麗家園.”,I felt being encouraged. Please keep your words and lead us on the right way. I am looking forward to seeing Taiwan's better tomorrows
